How to Reach Shimla

There are various options for commuting to Shimla for our travellers :

BY AIR

There is a flight that operates to Jubbarhatti, which is about 22 kms to  Shimla. One can get a cab from the airport to the property or we could arrange a pickup for you on prior notice.

BY TRAIN

You can reach Chandigarh or Kalka by train from where local cabs ( individual / shared) are available to take you to Shimla. It is approximately a 2.5 - 3 hrs run . Optionally, for our experimental traveller, you could catch the toy train from Kalka which lazily winds around the spurs and chugs up to Shimla in about 5 hrs.

BY ROAD

This is the most common way for travelling to Shimla. The city is well connected by buses (Volvo/ Ordinary) from Delhi, Chandigarh and surrounding states by an active network of roadways. You could also  travel by your private car or cab to the city, which is connected with a 4 lane highway from Chandigarh.

DIRECTIONS

Once you reach Shimla, take a left into the Victory tunnel to get onto the Circular road leading to Kelston or Longwood and further to Sanjauli. Continue on Circular road to pass by the Shimla bus stand below Lakkar Bazaar , on your right. After crossing the bus stand , you would cross the Auckland tunnel on your right. Take the next bifurcation to your left  onto Bharari Road. Travel about 1 km till the next bifurcation on Bharari Road. Take the upper road. Groom bridge would be on your right, 0.5 km down this low gradient road through the forest.
